We at Auditory Rehab Associates Hearing Healthcare Center are committed to providing you or love one’s complete hearing healthcare. To do so we must rehabilitate your hearing to your ultimate level of hearing health. We formulate an individual rehabilitation plan based on your lifestyle and present level of hearing and understanding.

Aural rehabilitation or auditory training is the process that involves the treatment of hearing loss by non-medical means to gain a positive outcome. Family participation is important to the success of the individual with a hearing loss. The concept of family participation and education is at the heart of our aural rehabilitation process.

We use the Listening and Communication Enhancement (LACE) Auditory Training Program. LACE was developed to engage the hearing impaired adult listener in the hearing aid fitting process and provide auditory training for anyone with a listening issue.

LACE will: provide new listening strategies, build confidence in difficult listening situations, and address cognitive changes characteristic of the aging process as well as those associated with communication difficulties.
Training is individualized and adaptive and is appropriate for most patients other than those with poor language skills or dementia.

LACE is intended for adult patients reporting difficulty understanding speech in challenging listening environments, with or without hearing loss.
For new hearing aid users, training is design to be completed within the trial period of new hearing aids.
The training allows new hearing aid users to gain experience with amplification in difficult simulated listening situations.
We will evaluate your lifestyle and develop an individually tailored rehabilitation program that fit into your lifestyle and getting you back to enjoying the activities you enjoy.
